We all know about the problem about the Objective mode saying that there should be a health pack that can be used to heal yourself, or another player that desperally needs it, but this was a small idea that came up to me.

Around each map could be an adrenaline shot, in which case, when injected, you gain a speed boost and your health is temporarily raised for a short amount of time. Sort of how L4D2's adrenaline shot works, but if found multiple times and an overdose has been injected, the player can get somewhat blurry vision, and have withdrawal symptoms (such as health loss, and capable of sudden death). So that way, if all the health packs are taken, you still have hope.

I would rather see something closer to a prescription pill bottle with effects like that... because how the fuck common are adrenaline shots? I'm not even sure they're even real, lmfao.

And if there's already a pill formed health substance implemented in the game (I thought I once found pills in my inventory when I was playing once, can't remember) I apologize for my ignorance.

very common, you'll find one on anyone with severe allergies (often in 2 packs). The technical term is epinephrine auto injector.

they're commonly called EpiPens.

And yes, the mod has pills called Phalanx that delay infection.

As for the health boost, I would be against that. An epipen should simply increase your speed, along with visual effects. Also using an epipen while infected would speed up infection (faster heart rate = faster circulation of virus)

I knew that, but even still, the whole idea is a joke. Sure, EpiPen side effects might be an increased heart rate, but it's not going to make you be able to run faster or increase visual effects... it will probably end up doing the opposite, possibly making you sick since you have no need to even use epinephrine. I'm not as much opposed to adding an 'adrenaline' shot to the game as I am with just the fact it will be even more similar to L4D2.. that's the deal breaker for me.

Bottom line, epinephrine =/= adrenaline and the whole idea is a joke. It would make more sense to implement some dirty syringes that may or may not be filled with gasoline.

adrenaline is simply an alternate term for epinephrine. They're both the same substance.

An increased heart rate results in more blood flow to muscles, so they'll be able to work faster. It'll also result in major headaches and stuff, hence the visual effects.
